- On Thursday, Senior Coroner Penelope Schofield concluded that Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walters, 32, and Rebecca Walters, 31, died by suicide on May 13 after entering the sea at Brighton with the "intention to end their lives."
- Two days before the tragedy, the sisters traveled to Birmingham to visit the lake where their mother, Janice Adetoro, drowned 16 years ago, a journey relatives believe held a "deeper meaning."
- Detective Chief Inspector Mark Cullimore told the inquest that sea conditions were "particularly rough" when the women entered the water; they could not swim and post-mortem toxicology results were negative for drugs or alcohol.
- In a written statement, father Joseph Jacobson paid tribute to his daughters, describing the loss as a "heartbreak beyond anything I could ever have imagined" while hoping they were reunited with their mother "in God's eternal care."
