Culver's blue barn leveled by strong winds
Culver's said it will support the farm family as they assess damage to the landmark barn, and no one was injured.
Strong winds leveled the iconic blue Culver's barn in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, destroying the landmark with winds exceeding 85 mph.
Culver's launched the 'Thank You Farmers Project' in 2013, painting barns blue across the Midwest as a tribute to farmers, with this Beaver Dam site visible from US-151.
Michael Zimmerman, the barn's owner since 1976, expressed devastation at the loss, stating he hopes to 'get back on the same place that we were.'
Culver's confirmed no injuries occurred during the storm and will support the family as they 'evaluate the damage and decide what's right for their farm and their community.'
Remaining blue barns include sites in Mineral Point, Wisconsin; Greenfield, Indiana; and Argenta, Illinois, representing the company's ongoing 'Thank You Farmers' tribute.
