The parliamentary supervisory body as committee of the Bundestag supervises the German secret services. Members are elected by an absolute majority by the Bundestag. The candidate of the left obviously has no chances at the CSU - much to the displeasure of her party.
CSU leader Hoffmann announces that he will not support the Left Party's proposal for the Parliamentary Supervisory Board. No cooperation is possible with the nominated parliamentary leader Reichinnek.
