A vehicle accident near Hinsdale Oasis blocked several Interstate 294 lanes and caused major congestion in both directions at the beginning of Wednesday afternoon’s peak hour. According to Illinois State Police, the crash between two vehicles occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. at I-294 in a southerly direction, just south of Hinsdale Oasis. At least one person was taken to a hospital in the area with injuries, the police reported.
