Rayden Tanner Coleman allegedly planned attacks on Portland ICE agents using weapons and Molotov cocktails, motivated by anger over federal actions, police said.
- On February 4, police arrested the suspect during a traffic stop at Avamere Assisted Living, and he was arraigned Friday on multiple counts with $400,000 bail set for Wednesday, Feb. 11.
- A parent of a roommate alerted police after a concerned roommate showed Discord messages, and police say anger over ICE incidents led Coleman to draft a manifesto expressing intent to kill agents.
- Roommates reported Coleman gathered tactical axes, a US Army knife, shovels, made AR rifle payments, sought night vision goggles and camouflage, and police say he filled six bottles with sand and bought hand sanitizer as an accelerant.
- Court documents say Coleman admitted planning attacks and using Molotov cocktails, and he stated `but I have a plan` in the affidavit, claiming comments about severed heads were made out of anger and not intended to be carried out.
- He told associates he was `sick and tried of it...` and planned to kill ICE agents, aiming to create the `Cascadia Rangers Coalition` at Warm Springs, while a roommate urged him `I think you are too good and important of a person to get locked up`.
