Council of State intervenes in 'penalty payment drama' in benefits affair
The Council of State has intervened to give the Allowances Service more breathing space in the recovery operation of the allowances affair. The government now has an additional sixty weeks to decide on objections from affected parents about the amount of their compensation.
Benefits Department receives 60 additional weeks for objection procedure
The Allowances Service (DT) will now have an additional sixty weeks to decide on an objection from allowance parents to their financial compensation. The Council of State (RvS) decided this on Wednesday. This period is in addition to the twelve to eighteen weeks that the DT currently has to decide on the objection from victims.
