Council members in California city seeking solution to peacock population problem - WCCB Charlotte's CW
RANCHO PALO VERDES, CA – The peacock population has exploded since last year in Rancho Palo Verdes, California. City leaders say it’s time for *some* of them to go. Council leaders have a plan to keep the non-native population under control–after years of complaints about damaged roofs, fowl waste and traffic hazards. They propose trappers humanely catch peacocks and send them to farms and ranches from Bakersfield to San Diego county.
