The corvette Augsburg is christened – but until completion it takes

The new warships are still far from operational. In the future, the cooperation must run differently, demanding representatives of the shipyards as well as the Bundeswehr.

The construction of new warships such as the recently named corvette "Augsburg" lasts for years. Meanwhile, new, effective weapons systems, especially combat drones, have long been created. The necessary retrofitting of IT systems on board further delays the delivery of the ships.

In Germany last 8 May was held near the ship yard NVL Blohm+Voss of Amburgo the ceremony of baptism of the fourth and penultimate corvetta type K130 of the second series, the Augsburg (F268), destined to the German Navy.
