Coroner: Somerset Borough woman dies in house fire

A Somerset Borough woman died in a house fire Monday. Somerset Regional Fire Department officials said crews arrived to find a South Franklin Street home fully involved on two levels just after 12:30 a.m.

Coroner ID’s Woman Killed In Somerset House Fire

Seventy-four-year-old -year-old Linda Dangel has been identified by Somerset County Coroner Cullen Swank as the victim of a fatal house fire on South Franklin Avenue in Somerset Borough early yesterday morning.  Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene shortly after 12:30 a.m. following reports from neighbors.  Dangel was pronounced dead at the scene approximately four hours after the initial call.  Cause of the fire is under investigation.
