The Council of Higher Education (YÖK) announced that, within the scope of the 'In-the-Workplace Vocational Training (IET)' model to be implemented in the 2026-2027 academic year, students enrolled in 185 associate degree programs at 81 universities in 7 pilot provinces will complete at least one semester of their education through practical training in businesses.
According to a survey, 76 percent of students can imagine vocational training. Nine out of ten trainees also claim to be satisfied with their training.
