Commission gives start date for Wayne County EMS system, approves EMS pay scale model

WAYNE — The new, countywide Wayne County Emergency Medical Services system is targeted to begin providing services in June. During its regular meeting Monday, April 21, the Wayne County Commission approved a resolution, which County Administrator James "Jim" Boggs read aloud during the meeting, authorizing Wayne County EMS to provide emergency response services throughout the county effective Sunday, June 22, 2025.
