Christian Horner Finally Reveals Reason Given for Red Bull Sacking
Red Bull Racing’s 2025 accounts list £33.49 million in compensation and £4.44 million in pay for the former team principal.
Red Bull Racing's 2025 financial accounts, filed this week at Companies House, reveal that former team principal Christian Horner received £33.5 million recorded as 'compensation for loss of office,' with an additional £4.44 million in remuneration bringing total disclosed payments to around £38 million.
Horner was removed from his role following the 2025 British Grand Prix, ending his 20-year tenure after an 18-month period marked by allegations of 'inappropriate behaviour' by a female colleague; Red Bull dismissed the complaint following internal investigations.
Horner's severance package, agreed last September two months after his dismissal, totals upwards of £76 million , with additional remuneration including £9.029 million and company pension contributions of £10,000.
Horner asserted the settlement size proved he 'had not committed any wrongdoing,' stating he was told his role had become 'more Christian Horner Racing than Red Bull Racing' when he pushed for reasons.
Out of the paddock for 15 months, the 52-year-old has been linked with moves to Ferrari, Alpine, and Aston Martin, though Ferrari threw their support behind team principal Fred Vasseur in a public statement last week.
