The Tianwen-1 Mars mission spacecraft successfully observed and captured the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS with its high-resolution camera, the China National Space Agency (CNSA) reported.
During the observation, the ship was about 30 million kilometers from the 3I/ATLAS, positioning itself among the closest approaches achieved by a probe to this interstellar object.
