Britney Spears shares unreleased 'Britney' song 'She'll Never Be Me'
The 3-minute track is one of five vault songs on the upcoming anniversary re-release, with Spears credited as lyricist, performer and composer.
On Friday, Oct. 9, Britney Spears released "She'll Never Be Me," a previously unheard track recorded for her 2001 self-titled third album, Britney.
The release precedes the Nov. 6 launch of Britney , celebrating the 2001 pop-R&B album that sold 10 million copies worldwide and marked the then-19-year-old's mature sound.
Spears co-wrote the 3-minute track with Bradley Daymond, Alex Greggs, and Justin Timberlake, exploring lyrics about a former lover now with someone who resembles her.
Five new tracks appear on the anniversary edition, including "Am I a Sinner," "When I Say So," "My Big Secret," and "Right Now " from a 2002 Pepsi commercial.
This marks the singer's first new release since 2023's "Mind Your Business" with Will.i.am, while the collection also features remixes of original tracks like "Overprotected" and "Boys.
For three years it's quiet around Britney Spears. Now surprisingly "She'll Never Be Me" - a song from the archives of the year 2001. Four more unreleased titles will follow soon.
