Austin reports ‘little to no detectable traces’ of synthetic chemicals in drinking water

Austin drinking water has “little to no detectable traces” of polyfluoroalkyl substances, or synthetic chemicals, according to an April 2 annual Water Quality Report for 2024.  The Environmental Protection Agency will require water systems to comply with their polyfluoroalkyl substance limits by 2027.
