- On Thursday, July 16, 2026, the Police Service Commission released the names of 50,000 successful applicants for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force.
- The Commission described the recruitment exercise as "comprehensive, inclusive, equitable and transparent," conducted alongside stakeholders including the Federal Character Commission, Ministry of Police Affairs, and the Police Community Relations Committee.
- Candidates who participated in the written examination should log in to the official portal to check their status, while successful applicants will also receive notifications via email and SMS.
- Successful applicants must report to designated Police Training Institutions with required documents, including National Identification Number and Bank Verification Number slips, for medical examinations.
- The Chairman, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu, thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the recruitment of Police Constables to strengthen Nigeria's security architecture.
