- Ward used his power and influence to foster relationships through political circles, luring two men to his homes in 2013 and 2015 after events and plying them with alcohol before assaulting them.
- A victim told the jury he was indecently assaulted three times in one night after being plied with drinks at his Meroo Meadow home, while another was digitally raped at Potts Point following a Parliament House function, and both said 'no'.
- Meanwhile, the prosecution has sought a detention application to take Ward into custody, and he will return to court later this year for sentencing.
- In a statement, Mark Speakman said he would respect the verdict and the robust process, calling the assaults a 'complete abuse of power which has no place anywhere'.
