Brazil's former president Jair Bolsonaro is being moved to a prison with "more favorable" conditions, according to a court order. The facility Bolsonaro will now be held in is five times the size of his previous cell, and he will have access to a kitchen and outdoor area. He is being held in complete isolation from other prisoners, according to a Supreme Court judge.
The former Brazilian president was taken to the Papuda prison complex, also located in Brasilia.
The Supreme Court judge Alexander de Moraes made this announcement on Thursday, two weeks after the former extreme right-wing Brazilian president was denied the request to serve his 27-year sentence at home for attempted coup d'état.
