Grenades and ammunition found in a school in Gödöllő

The Gödöllő Reformed Líceum Gymnasium had to be evacuated after explosive devices and ammunition were found in the backyard. The Hungarian Defense Forces’ explosives experts arrived at the scene quickly to identify and remove the dangerous objects. During the search, several World War II German hand grenades and a significant amount of mixed infantry ammunition were found, which were transported for later destruction.

World War II hand grenades and 20 kilograms of infantry ammunition were found in the backyard of the Gödöllő Reformed Lyceum High School, the 1st Gunsmith and Guard Regiment of the Hungarian Defence Forces (MH) announced on its Facebook page on Tuesday.

The firemen were not bored.
