French authorities have announced the discovery of a body on a beach used by migrants attempting to cross from northern France to the U.K. on flimsy boats.
An investigation by the Boulogne-sur-Mer Public Prosecutor's Office will have to determine whether there is a link between this death at Saint-Etienne-au-Mont and the attempt to cross which took place a little further north, at the level of Equihen-Plage.
The body was discovered in the commune of Saint-Etienne-au-Mont. The age and nationality of the victim are not known for the time being.
