Blizzard warning affecting 5 Massachusetts counties until Tuesday morning – winds gusting up to 55 mph
On Sunday at 11:16 a.m. the National Weather Service released a blizzard warning valid from 4 p.m. until Tuesday 7 a.m. for Worcester, Middlesex, Essex, Hampden and Hampshire counties.The weather service says, “Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations between 12 and 22 inches. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.”
Blizzard warning affecting 3 N.J. counties until Monday evening – winds gusting up to 45 mph
The National Weather Service issued a blizzard warning at 2:56 a.m. on Sunday valid from 10 a.m. until Monday 6 p.m. for Sussex, Warren and Hunterdon counties.“Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations between 16 and 26 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph,” says the weather service. “Snowfall rates could exceed 2 inches per hour. Locally higher snowfall amounts and significant drifting of snow possible.”
