Blast of winter weather hits Midwest and East Coast and could bring snow to Florida
An arctic cold front caused snow squalls and rare snowfall in parts of Florida for the second consecutive year, with up to 3 inches in some areas, the National Weather Service said.

- National Weather Service warnings describe snow squalls causing near-zero visibility and rapid road accumulation, while the NWS Chicago office reported winds gusting 40 to nearly 60 mph as FAA grounded flights and Indiana State Police reported a 30-vehicle crash.
- The National Weather Service warned travel could be dangerous with possible interstate closures, while the Waterloo Warming Center will stay open nightly through March 31 to protect residents.
