Bessent signals SNAP benefits could restart Wednesday
Two federal judges ruled the Trump administration must use emergency funds to continue SNAP payments for 42 million Americans despite the government shutdown.
- On Friday, two federal judges in Massachusetts and Rhode Island ordered the Trump administration to tap contingency funds to continue SNAP after benefits halted on Nov. 1, affecting 42 million people.
