Berry Global to close Lanett plant, laying off 112

Berry Global Inc., a plastics manufacturer, has announced that it will be closing its Lanett plant. Berry (now called Amcor) makes plastic buckets at its facility on South Phillips Road in the Huguely Industrial Park.  The WARN letter, which requires companies to announce closures and/or mass layoffs, was filed by Berry on May 2.
