Felix the bear, who was moved from Kočevje to the Bärenwald Arbesbach bear sanctuary in Austria less than a month ago, is doing well in his new home. After a three-week quarantine, he was released into a fenced area in the forest a few days ago, and also swam in a pond, the animal welfare organization AniMa (Animals Matter) announced.
After successfully completing a three-week quarantine, Felix stepped outside for the first time in his new living environment on Thursday, June 5th.
For the first time in his life, the 30-year-old bear "Felix" was able to plan extensively. With his carers in the Bärenwald Arbesbach in the Waldviertel in Lower Austria, the joy is naturally great.
