Player Loses Kidney at FIBA World Cup

A Serbian basketball player playing for his country’s national team at the FIBA World Cup in the Phillippines has lost a kidney after suffering an injury late in a game against South Sudan last week. Borisa Simanic was hit with an elbow as he defended South Sudan’s Nuni Omot with less than two minutes left in the game.
