The State will have a maximum spending limit of €226,032 million next year in case the government project of State Budgets for 2027 goes forward. The increase compared to what was foreseen in the non-national Budgets of 2026 will be €14,006 million, which is 16% less than the increase that was foreseen at that time.
The Council of Ministers has also approved the fiscal path, with which Spain will close by 2026 with a public deficit of 1.8%
On Tuesday, the Government approved in the Council of Ministers the spending ceiling with which the draft State General Budgets will be drawn up for next year. Again, this is a record spending limit: the Executive will have €226.032 million to design the accounts. An increase of 6.6% compared to the ceiling that had been set for 2025 (14.006 million more), which never came to light when the Government renounced to present state public accounts. …
This represents an increase of 6.6% over last year's national expenditure.
