Altoona Baseball Team hosts car wash to raise money for World Series

ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Altoona Area Baseball Team is headed to the Babe Ruth League World Series in Ocala, Florida, next month. Before making the trip, they're asking for support from the community. On Sunday, players and staff from the team held a car wash at the Eldorado Ballfield on California Avenue. Avon Park teams raising funds for World Series

Avon Park’s 8U and 12U All-Star teams have advanced to the Dixie World Series and are fundraising to participate as Team Florida. They’ve been collecting donations along Main Street, both Publix locations and Thankful Hearts Nutrition.
