Automated License Plate Reader Alert and drone pursuit leads to arrest and cocaine seizure
The North Bay Police Service (NBPS) arrested two suspects after a vehicle was flagged by an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) for a suspended driver fled from police. Using technology such as the Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) and with the collaboration of multiple deployed units, officers safely tracked the suspects through a wooded area, made the arrest without incident, and recovered $64,000 worth of cocaine.
