Atomfall review: doomsday adventure is stuck in the blast radius
- Atomfall is influenced by British post-apocalyptic and sci-fi media, particularly the works of John Wyndham, with its story set in an alternate history following a devastating nuclear disaster in the UK.
- The game emphasizes exploration without traditional quests or markers, and players can finish it in as little as five hours if focused.
- The visual design is bright and vibrant, contrasting expectations of a post-nuclear setting, and emphasizes a survival theme through trading.
- Combat in Atomfall is challenging, requiring strategic planning, with players confronting enemies in a vibrant post-disaster world, which creates a unique experience.
