Little House on the Highway: Road Rage Claimed After Modular Home Blocks B.C. Traffic

On Wednesday, June 11, a 14-foot modular home fell off a trailer on southbound Highway 97 north of Kelowna near Duck Lake, blocking a lane and slowing traffic.
The incident resulted from a road rage altercation involving two vehicles engaging in a cat-and-mouse game near Ellison Lake, causing the DBI Transport driver to swerve and lose the load.
Dashcam footage released by DBI Transport shows the vehicles swerving between lanes and coming to complete stops, while drywall debris flew from one truck and struck a sedan behind.
The Kelowna RCMP is currently looking into several violations of the Motor Vehicle Act related to the incident on the morning of June 11 and is appealing to the public for any witnesses or dashcam recordings to assist with their investigation, referencing file number 2025-32644.
DBI Transport secured the home with a crane, returned it to Enderby for damage assessment, apologized for traffic delays, and stressed that reckless driving near large trucks can cause serious harm.
