JERUSALEM – Romi Gonen, kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 and held captive for 471 days, was discharged Thursday from Sheba Medical Center, where she spent nearly five months recovering from injuries and surgeries. To mark the occasion, Romi held a deployment at Sheba Hospital, which was also attended by Emily Damari - who was with Romi during part of their time in Hamas captivity. "I have to know what it means to be truly free," Romi wrote. "Not tied to anything. Just what I want to do."
