While Marineland assures that it is a matter of regulating the sexual impulses of the orca, NGOs suspect sperm sales to other parks.
Marineland executives say satisfying the animal once a month is a necessary step because Keijo has entered adolescence and is struggling with increasingly strong sexual desires.
The images filmed and then aired by the NGO Tide Breakers shock: there is Keijo, the male orca of Marineland d'Antibes water park, closed since January, likely to be masturbated by a caregiver in his basin. The NGO denounces a "shocky" practice.
