US investors pour $11bn into European ETFs

Resurgent interest reflects a sharp reversal in sentiment

U.S. investors invested a record $11 billion in European ETFs to “make Europe great again” In the first quarter, U.S. investors invested a record $10.6 billion in European ETFs, up 7 times more than a year ago. European stocks have become attractive due to uncertainty in the United States.

Amundi’s ambitious play for European ETF dominance

Following on from its acquisition of Lyxor Asset Management, Amundi’s global head of ETF and indexing, Benoit Sorel, has made his intentions clear: to seize the European ETF crown and to reshape the market.

Amundi completes combination with Victory Capital

Amundi US has completed its combination with Victory Capital, with the wider Amundi group taking a 21.2% stake in the company. This will rise to 26.1% in the coming weeks. The transaction which was announced last June will see Amundi distribute Victory’s active funds outside of the US.
