Schröder fails before Federal Administrative Court with lawsuit for Bundestag office

Altbundeskanzler Gerhard Schröder lost his state-funded office in the Bundestag three years ago. He complained against it - but could not prevail in third instance either.

In 2022, the Bundestag ruled out Gerhard Schröder's old chancellor's office. He opposed it legally, went to the Federal Administrative Court - which rejected his complaint.

Altkanzler Schröder does not get his office back in the Bundestag: also in third instance he failed with his complaint. However, he could try to enforce his claim before the Federal Constitutional Court.

Altbundeskanzler Schröder once again failed in court in the dispute over the financing of his office in the Bundestag.

In third instance, the Social Democrat had turned to the Federal Administrative Court because he was the only former Chancellor to no longer have an office. However, the judges wavered that they were not competent, but the Federal Constitutional Court.

Old Chancellor Gerhard Schröder also failed in court in third instance. Thus, he is not allowed to move back to his former office in the Bundestag.
