INDIA, JUL 15 – Air India resumes some international wide-body flights after a 15% cut due to safety checks following a June crash that killed 260 people, with full restoration by October.
- On July 15, Air India said it will begin partial international flight schedule restoration from August 1, after the June 12 Ahmedabad crash.
- Following the crash, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation mandated enhanced inspections of its Boeing 787 fleet, as the airline conducted its own voluntary safety checks.
- Route schedules indicate Delhi-Paris flights cut to seven weekly from 12, effective August 1.
- Despite schedule cuts, the airline operates over 525 international flights weekly across 63 routes, Air India said, 'proactively contacting affected passengers for rebooking or refunds.'
- Some services to London and Singapore remain suspended till September 30, Air India said, as full network restoration is planned from October 1, 2025.
