- Passengers reported the aircraft never took off and received minimal communication as the four-hour delay stretched past the scheduled 7.25 pm departure from Guwahati to Hyderabad on flight IX 2884.
- Siraj took to social media late Wednesday to complain, calling it his worst airline experience and urging others to avoid Air India Express.
- The episode adds to a string of recent flight disruptions by Air India Express, including a Dubai–Mangaluru cancelled flight with 110 passengers, as Mohammad Siraj was returning to Hyderabad after India’s 408-run loss to South Africa.
