AIMPLB Postpones ‘Bharat Bandh’ Against Waqf Law
The All India Muslim Personal Law Board postponed the nationwide shutdown to respect overlapping religious festivals and will continue protests against the Waqf Amendment Act.

- Originally, the bandh was planned from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with exemptions for hospitals and pharmacies, and shops, offices, and commercial establishments asked to close on Friday.
- AIMPLB leaders said the campaign will continue and new dates will follow soon, with Dr S.Q.R. Ilyas stating `The Bharat Bandh stands postponed, but InshaAllah, new dates will be announced shortly.`
- Shahabuddin Razvi publicly urged non-participation, saying `I request all Muslims not to take part in the AIMPLB’s programme`, warning politicisation and provocative `I Love Muhammad` posters could incite unrest.
