The head of the Italian government, Giorgia Meloni, announced last night that a complaint on "genocide complicity" against him and two of its ministers were sent to the International Criminal Court (IPI), due to the support of Israel by Rome, reports AFP.

The complaint was drafted by a group called "Jurisprudence and Lawyers for Palestine" and was signed by some 50 people, law professors, lawyers and also some public figures.
Meloni says accused of complicity in genocide at world court
Meloni said on Tuesday that she had been named in a filing by an advocacy group for Palestinians that accused her and others of complicity by supplying arms to Israel, which has been accused of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, amid its two-year war against the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
