- On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled Seva Teerth and Kartavya Bhavan 1 and 2 in New Delhi, with the PMO describing it as a major step in modernizing India's administrative infrastructure.
- For decades, dispersed offices across Central Vista prompted inefficiencies and rising costs, so Kartavya Bhavan 1 and 2 will house law, defence, finance, health, agriculture ministries to reduce dispersion.
- Both complexes include digitally integrated office systems, structured public-interface zones, and centralised reception areas, with smart access control and surveillance networks ensuring security, the PMO said.
- Designed to 4‑Star GRIHA standards, the buildings use renewable energy systems, water conservation and waste management measures to reduce environmental impact and boost citizen engagement and employee well‑being, officials say.
- Seva Teerth consolidates the Prime Minister’s Office, National Security Council Secretariat and Cabinet Secretariat, shifting administration from dispersed facilities to a streamlined, purpose-built footprint, the PMO said.
