What he did was more than linguistics. More than literature. The purity of the spirit emanated from him, and he captivated his listeners and readers with his magic. One did not feel less, but rather more curious, because of the way he was able to convey his knowledge. Both Gabi's farewell.
Ádám Nádasdy, poet, translator, and linguist, has passed away at the age of 80. In his Modern Talking series, published in our newspaper, we have been able to read his thoughtful discussions on a wide variety of topics related to language for many years.
There was never a more youthful seventy-nine-year-old than Ádám Nádasdy: it is difficult, almost impossible, to accept that he is no more. He was a man with whom it was always wonderful to talk about everything, and who cannot be compared to anyone else. I wish more people could be like him!
