A proposed Louisiana law would ban speed cameras outside school zones, except in Opelousas
SB99, would ban the use of automated speed enforcement cameras outside of school zones and at red lights. The provision would not apply to municipalities with a population less than 16,000 but more than 15,000 within a parish less than 90,000. Only Opelousas fits the terms of the amendment.
