Feeding Our Future fraud ringleader Aimee Bock sentenced to 41+ years in prison
Prosecutors said Bock orchestrated a $250 million pandemic meal fraud and the judge ordered her to repay nearly $243 million.
On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Nancy Brasel sentenced Feeding Our Future ringleader Aimee Bock to 41.5 years in prison for orchestrating the $300 million COVID-era fraud scheme.
Prosecutors described Bock as the nation's largest pandemic fraud "mastermind," diverting tens of millions in federal funds meant to feed hungry children during the COVID-era meal program.
Judge Nancy Brasel ordered Bock to repay $243 million and told her, "This is a vortex of fraud, and you were at the epicenter," citing perjury during trial.
Defense attorney Kenneth Udoibok argued the crime was "a case of gross negligence," while co-conspirator Abdimajid Mohamed Nur previously received 10 years in prison.
Federal investigators recently conducted new raids in Minnesota as part of ongoing investigations into alleged fraud targeting government-subsidized day care and autism service centers.
