Joint NGO letter to demand immediate and unconditional release of Chow Hang-tung and Lee Cheuk-yan | Chinese Human Rights Defenders
CHRD joined 91 other civil society organizations and individuals to call on the governments of the G7 and EU/EEA members to exert diplomatic pressure on the Hong Kong government to release Chow Hang-tung and Lee Cheuk-yan immediately and unconditionally.
(Epoch Times reporter Yi Ling reports from Toronto) On October 28, 92 civil society groups and individuals around the world issued a joint statement calling on the Group of Seven (G7) and the European Union to pressure the Hong Kong government to unconditionally release pro-democracy activists Zou Xingtong and Lee Cheuk-yan. Simultaneous rallies in support will be held in multiple cities around the world on November 2.
