Animal feed measure on Texas ballots
The Nov. 4 Constitutional Amendment Election includes a proposition to exempt from property taxes any animal feed that is held in inventory for retail sale. Animal feed already is exempt from local sales taxes. If Proposition 5 passes statewide, it should help feed store owners as well as their customers, who could see lower prices on animal feed.
