Seven injured in Polish school knife attack, police say
On Wednesday, Oct 7, 2026, a 19-year-old was detained following a knife attack at the Vocational School Complex in Ostroleka, Poland, that left seven people injured.
RMF reported that the suspect was a student at the Vocational School Complex, where most victims were fellow students, though one teacher was also wounded.
Serious injuries were reported among the seven victims; Mayor Pawel Niewiadomski confirmed that emergency services secured the scene and the situation is now under control.
Provincial police in Ostroleka confirmed the 19-year-old suspect remains in custody following rapid emergency response to the Vocational School Complex grounds.
