After a series of deadly lion attacks that killed six people in Gujarat, the state Forest Department has asked the Wildlife Institute of India to study possible behavioural changes in Asiatic lions. Authorities have captured 31 lions, declared seven big cats as “maneaters”, while experts say growing human interference is the main reason behind the conflict.
