300 jobs under threat at Fastway parent company

Nuvion Group's receivership threatens 300 direct jobs and up to 1,000 total across its delivery network amid inflation and rising costs, company spokesperson said.

  • On Tuesday, 28 Oct 2025 the Nuvion Group, parent of Fastway Couriers Ireland, Parcel Connect and Ngo, entered receivership, putting around 300 direct jobs at risk in Ireland.
  • A spokesperson for the Nuvion Group said sustained inflation, rising operating costs and ongoing price pressures in the parcels market made the business no longer viable.
  • Mark Degnan and Brendan O'Reilly of Interpath Advisory entered the depot at about 4 p.m., after workers reported 150,000 parcels in the network and said it was sealed after Monday deliveries.
  • Delays and disruption are envisaged, the CCPC reminded retailers they must refund within 14 days, and Minister Dara Calleary said supports including the Jobseeker's Pay‑Related Benefit are available.
  • Including subcontractors and franchisees, up to 1,000 jobs could be affected as hundreds more among subcontractors, franchisees and solo operators face potential losses.
