The 160 caravans of Travellers who have illegally settled since 6 July on communal land in Signes have been reported from the town hall to the prefecture. The prefect should require them to leave the place within 15 days under penalty of expulsion.
Some 30 caravans, illegally installed, were evacuated on 11 July to the village of Zimmerbach, near Colmar (High Rhine), and the Prefect of Upper Rhine intends to reaffirm his intention to "be firm" in order to evacuate any illegal installation.
