- On Dec. 23, TMZ obtained the death certificates confirming Rob Reiner, 78, and Michele Singer Reiner, 70, died of 'multiple sharp force injuries' inflicted 'with knife, by another'; both were cremated at Mount Sinai Mortuary after autopsy.
- Found on Dec. 14 in Brentwood, the couple were discovered with apparent stab wounds, and the Los Angeles Fire Department provided medical aid, Los Angeles Police Department Deputy Chief Alan S. Hamilton said.
- The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner completed autopsies by Dec. 19, listing the interval between injury onset and death as minutes and returning the bodies five days after their deaths.
- Nick Reiner is being held without bail and has not entered a plea after briefly appearing in court on Dec. 17; his arraignment is set for January 7 on first-degree murder charges.
- A spokesperson for Romy and Jake said Dec. 22 that a memorial service will be shared "at a later date," and Michele's sisters Suzanne and Martine have stepped in to support the children.
